Fixing Systems and Reinforcement

Fixing systems anchor cladding panels and render components to the substrate, while mesh reinforcement — typically alkali-resistant fibreglass mesh — is embedded within the base coat to control cracking and add impact resistance across the render surface. Corner profiles protect vulnerable external corners from impact damage, and expansion joints allow a facade to accommodate the natural movement of a building without cracking at stress points. Flashing details, meanwhile, manage water runoff at junctions — window heads, parapets, and cladding transitions — where poor detailing is one of the most common causes of water ingress in rendered and clad walls.
