Unitex and Sto Australia

Sto Australia acquired Unitex Australia in August 2019. For Unitex customers, the practical effect has been additive rather than disruptive: Unitex retained its Australian manufacturing base at Dandenong South, its existing product range, and its trade-first focus on builders, renderers, and applicators, while gaining access to a larger group’s technical resources for product development. Unitex operates as part of Sto Australia Pty Ltd.

Two Brands, Two Markets

Sto Australia Pty Ltd operates both Unitex/URW and the separate Sto Australia brand, which serve different markets. Sto Australia supplies its own range of render and facade systems aimed primarily at architects and commercial specifiers, independently tested and BRANZ appraised for Australian conditions. Unitex and URW remain the trade-facing identity for residential and light commercial work — the products, trade outlets, and technical support described throughout this site.
